This privacy policy explains how Brisbane Conveyancers ("we", "us", "our") handles the personal information you provide when you use this website or request a conveyancing quote. We are committed to handling personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Brisbane Conveyancers provides general conveyancing information. Queensland Law Society-member solicitors and conveyancing firms assist property buyers and sellers directly. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal services.

What we collect

When you submit an enquiry or quote request, we collect the personal information you choose to give us, which typically includes:

  • your name;
  • your phone number;
  • your email address;
  • your suburb or postcode; and
  • details about your property matter, such as whether you are buying, selling or transferring, and any message you include.

We may also collect technical information automatically when you visit the site, such as your device type, browser, and general usage data, through standard web analytics. We do not seek to collect sensitive information.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide to:

  • connect you with a Queensland Law Society-member solicitor or conveyancing firm in our network who can assist with your matter;
  • respond to your enquiry and arrange a fixed-fee quote;
  • follow up about your request and improve our service; and
  • meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.

Disclosure to network solicitors

To connect you with a solicitor, we forward the details you submit to one or more Queensland Law Society-member solicitors or conveyancing firms in our network so they can contact you and provide a quote. Once you engage a solicitor, that firm handles your personal information under its own privacy policy and professional obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers and storage

We use third-party tools to operate our website and manage enquiries, including a customer relationship management (CRM) platform and web hosting and analytics providers. Your information may be stored and processed by these providers on our behalf. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, including secure transmission and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

How long we keep it

We keep your personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above or as required by law, after which we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
